What size bowl do you need?
We’re routinely given this message …
… is sufficient to meet our needs.
“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content,” 1 Timothy 6:6-8.
“Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you,’” Hebrews 13:5.
“How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength,” Philippians 4:10-13.
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need,” Matthew 6:33.

Great write.. short – sweet – direct.. to the point.. I should say 'bitter sweet' – as it stung a bit.. as in today's world we always have to have the next better thing – especially with the gagets, titles, promotions, degrees, etc.. always lookin to 'one up'.. contentment – well there's a different new perspective – I truly don't believe many of us have embraced lately.. think that is why so many are stressed out, sick, and so many relationships falling apart.. we have to learn to live within our means and be content with what we have – if that is where God wants us – and to use these 'lean' times to draw closer to him. thanks for the reminder..
