Happy Labor Day!

I’ve heard it said there are three kinds of workers. For example, when a piano is to be moved, the first kind gets behind and pushes, the second pulls and guides, and the third grabs the piano stool.

As we take the day off from our labors, remember to thank God for any job you have. We live in a time in our country where millions of people are unemployed, some unemployed for so long they have literally given up looking for a job. So be thankful to God if you have a job to return to tomorrow. And when you get there, remember this:

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ,” Colossians 3:23-24.
